Before you call: 60-second checks
- Is the opener's power point on, and is there power to the house? After a storm, check the switchboard.
- Has the manual release cord been pulled? The motor will run without moving the door.
- Do the safety beams near the floor have a clear line of sight to each other?
- Does the wall button work when the remote doesn't? Try a new remote battery.
- Heard a bang and the door is suddenly heavy or crooked? Stop using it. That's usually a spring or cable, and it's not a DIY repair.
